Isoxsuprine belongs to drug class known as vasodilators. It relaxes arteries and veins, making them wider and allowing blood to flow through the veins and arteries more easily. Isoxsuprine is a drug used to alleviate the symptoms of peripheral and vascular diseases such as cerebral vascular insufficiency, Raynaud’s disease, arteriosclerosis, Buerger’s disease and other medical conditions that involve poor blood flow in the arteries and veins. Common brand names of this drug include Voxsuprine and Vasodilan.
If you have been taking Isoxsuprine, make sure that you don’t drive, operate machinery or perform hazardous or extreme activities because there may be instances when you might feel dizzy and unable to perform the said activities properly.
You should also be careful when arising from a sitting or lying position because there may be instances when you may feel like you are falling.
